Tim Buresh
14s Coach
I played volleyball at North Allegheny in high school and was a part of two WPIAL Championship teams. I also played for Pittsburgh Volleyball Club in 2010 and was part of the team that finished 4th overall in the 18-Open division. I also played year at Penn State Behrend. I currently coach at Hampton Township School District for their Girls Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School programs. I have been with Pittsburgh Volleyball Club for 2 years as a coach for various ages.
Shane Conley
17-Black Head Coach
I played volleyball at North Allegheny High School and graduated in 2005, where we won two WPIAL championships. I went on to play four years at Saint Francis University. I am a physical therapist at UPMC Center for Sports Medicine, and have been coaching with PVC since 2012. I have been coaching at the 17s level the past three seasons. My wife, Amy, is also a physical therapist.
Paul Kuhn
16-Black Assistant Coach
I played high school volleyball at Central York where I won a state championship and graduated in 2011. I went on to play at Juniata College for four years where I was a 3-time all-conference selection as well as a 3-time all American. After I graduated in 2015 I competed with the Arizona Sizzle Men's PVL team in the 2015 PVL Championships. During the summers I coached at camps across the state. Currently I work at UPMC as a Systems Analyst in the ISDR program.
Dan Long
16-Black Head Coach
I played at North Allegheny High School and graduated in '03, where I was a part of a WPIAL championship team and two PIAA runner up teams. I teach AP Chemistry and Honors Organic Chemistry at North Allegheny, where I also serve as the assistant boys' volleyball coach. I have been a part of eight WPIAL Championship teams and one state championship team as a coach at NA. I've been coaching with the Pittsburgh Volleyball Club since its inaugural summer, where I've served as a head coach at every level spanning from 15s-18s. My wife Aimee and I are expecting our first child in January.
Ryan Lundy
Assistant Coach
I played volleyball for four years at Penn Hills High School, graduating in 2002. I then attended Clarion University where I earned my degree in Elementary Education, graduating in 2006. I have been the North Allegheny boys’ middle school head coach and varsity assistant coach since 2007. I have been a part of eight WPIAL Championship teams and one state championship team as a coach at NA. I have been with the Pittsburgh Volleyball Club for six years, coaching teams at all age levels from 13s – 18s. I am a fourth grade teacher at Bradford Woods Elementary. My wife Kristin and I have a two year old daughter and we are expecting our second child in May.
Mike Nypaver
18-Black Assistant Coach
I played at North Allegheny under coach Schall and graduated in 2005. I was part of two WPIAL championship teams. I played club volleyball in college at Duquesne University. While in graduate school at Duquesne I was an assistant with the
women’s team. I continued as a volunteer assistant there and was part of the staff during their first A-10 championship and NCAA appearance. I am currently a science teacher
at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and an assistant with their boy’s volleyball team.
Pete Madia
18-Black Head Coach
I have been a part of PVC since it's first season in 2009-2010. I started as a head coach at the 18s level. In 2010 I became the Administrative Club Director. I played volleyball at North Allegheny and was a part of two WPIAL Championship teams. Currently, I am the JV Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach at NA and have been a part of eight WPIAL Championship teams and one state championship team. Two years ago I joined the KRVA Penn Blast coaching staff for the USAV Pro League, PVL. We have won the Bronze Medal each of the two years in the league. I am a freelance sports photographer covering Pitt Athletics.
Phil O'Keeffe
18-Black Assistant Coach
I started playing my senior year at Central Catholic High School.
4 years at Allegheny College where I ran the team after my freshman year. I played professionally in France for 8 years. I have been coaching club since 2002 and at Fox Chapel High School since 2003.
Matt Robertson
14s Coach
This is my third year working with Pittsburgh Volleyball Club. I am a former North Allegheny graduate and played Volleyball from 2006-2009 and was a part of three WPIAL championship teams. Attended Slippery Rock University and graduated in Spring 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. While at SRU I participated for the Men's Club Volleyball Team for four years. Currently I am subbing around the local area and the Varsity Head Coach for Girls Volleyball at Hampton School District.
Jordan Varee
Assistant Coach
I played at Conneaut Valley High School where I graduated in 2006. Ithen played four years at Saint Francis University where I was a four year all-conference honoree and selected as an All-American. After graduating I spent some time training with our men’s Olympic volleyball team and played professionally in Puerto Rico and Sweden. I also spent two years coaching at Penn State Behrend and one year as the assistant coach at Saint Francis University.
