KRVA & USA Volleyball Registration Info

Players will not be permitted to participate in any PVC club activity without a KRVA/USA Volleyball membership. There are a few different registration options that are listed below.  A minimum of the tryout registration option is required in order for players to attend winter tryouts.

*If you were a full junior member during the 2015-2016 seasons you must renew your membership prior to winter 2016-2017 tryouts.  Memberships from 2015-2016 expire on October 31, 2016.  If you do not renew your membership for tryouts, you must renew prior to the first winter practice on 10/26. The registration options are listed below.

To register for PITTSBURGH VOLLEYBALL CLUB as a full USA Volleyball Junior member go to the KRVA registration page here. This registration carries a $55 fee that does not go to PVC, this is the fee that the KRVA Region and USA Volleyball charge. This membership allows players to participate in any club tryouts, practices, or tournaments. If you make a winter team or plan on participating on a Satellite team you must have this registration in order to be added to any team roster. If you do not plan on participating this winter but do during the summer then this is the best option for you because you will need a full membership for summer participation.

If you do not wish to pay and register for the full junior membership before you find out if you have made a team or not you can select the new KRVA Junior Player Tryout registration. This carries a nonrefundable $15 fee. This has replaced the option that allowed you to pay a full membership and receive a refund if you do not make a team. It allows you to attend the PVC tryouts without completing the full $55 membership. If you then make a PVC team, you will need to log in and pay the remaining $40 (please note, this will need to be done within 1 day of team acceptance). If you do not make a team you do not have to pay the remaining $40. Note, this expires prior to the end of the winter season, so if you do this and do not make a team you will need to pay for another membership if you plan on participating during the summer, this is why the $55 registration is the most economical for players planning on participating and/or trying out during the summer. Please e-mail us if you have any questions regarding registration. However, if you have technical difficulties with registration or printing your registration card we cannot be of assistance, you will need to e-mail registration@krva.org.  OVR membership from 2014-2015 or 2015-2016 cannot be accepted for any participation in PVC club activities.

Without proof of membership (KRVA/USAV membership card) shown prior to the fall training or winter tryout session players will be unable to participate. This is a very strict rule that the KRVA has implemented and due to insurance purposes we cannot make any exceptions.

USA Volleyball 2016-17 Medical Release Form

In order to participate in any PVC activities we must also have an up-to-date 2016-2017 USAV Medical Release form on record for you. 2015-2016 Medical release forms can no longer be utilized and must be updated for past participants. Medical release form can be downloaded here.

USA Volleyball Age Definitions (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

These are the age definitions for the 2016-17 seasons. Please note that your age for USA Volleyball is your age on next September 1, 2017, not your current age. It is not based on what grade you are in, rather what your age is on Sept. 1, 2017. For example, if you are a high school junior who turns 18 this summer and will be 18 on 9/1/17 then you must tryout and compete on an 18s team, not 17s. If you have any questions please let us know. The exception is for 8th graders. If you turn 15 before 9/1/17 but are in 8th grade you can be waivered to play at the 14s level.  Junior age definitions are explained in more detail here.
